Pearls and Pigs is a low-lying copper sculpture produced in an edition of nine. Conceived as an indoor or outdoor piece, the work can be positioned to stand on the floor/ground and lean against a wall. The copper sourced for the work is certified free-market. Its surface can be left to oxidize or it can be periodically polished, at the discretion of the owner.
 
 
About the Artist
Lawrence Weiner (b. 1942, Bronx, NY) has been a central figure of Conceptual Art since the mid-1960's. He for text-driven work in a variety of media, including the use of different languages. Since his first solo show in 1960, Weiner has exhibited extensively in the U.S. and abroad. He is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships and a Solomon R. Guggenheim Fellowship.
